Talbott Funeral Home - Pre-Arrangements

Our funeral home offers all bank trust funded prearrangements. These monies can be deposited into a West Virginia bank of your choice for eventual payment towards the type of service you desire. Also, you may completely prearrange all services and choose your casket, vault, or any other merchandise you wish to prepay. Your choices are itemized on a contract and the fund is set up in an interest Bearing Account. This will lock in the current price and we as a funeral service provider can not retrieve any more money from your family at the time of your passing. We are allowed to bill what prices are on our General Price List at the time of your passing and use what interest the account has made from the time the account was established.

Another option of prearrangements is to establish a Depositary Account which you can deposit monies in for eventual payment of your funeral service.

Then finally, another option is assign over to the funeral home an Insurance Policy.

Whatever prepayment plan you choose there will be a contract drawn up in which will be on file with the office of the West Virginia Attorney General and bank or insurance company.

All funeral homes in the state of West Virginia are regulated through the office of the West Virginia Attorney General.
