| Obituary: | Mrs. Irene Katherine Weese Ensminger age 97 years a former resident of Belington, WV departed this life Wednesday May 19, 2010 in the Friendship Retirement Community in Roanoke, VA. She was born June 11, 1912 at Mt. Liberty, WV a daughter of the late Harold C. Weese and Ethel Booth Weese. Mrs. Ensminger was united in marriage to the late Denzil W. Ensminger who preceded her in death in August 1977. Mrs. Ensminger is survived by one son Howard Ensminger and wife Martha; three grandchildren Michael Ensminger and wife Diane, Susan Perfater and husband David; and Shelly Smith, seven great grand children and three great-great grandchildren all of Roanoke , VA. In addition to her son and grandchildren, she is survived by one brother, Arnold Weese and wife Patty of Belington and one sister, Nina Lee Allen and husband Columbus of Belington. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by eight brothers, Norman “Bus”,Weese Grant “Dick” Weese, Garfield Weese, Bill Weese, Homer Weese, Eugene “Bunny” Weese, Fay Weese, and Luther Weese; two sisters Ruth Mitchell, Erma Phillips; as well as two infant sisters, Mary and Martha. Also preceding her in death is one great-great-grandchild Ethan Richardson. Mrs. Ensminger graduated from Philippi High School class of 1938 and was a homemaker most of her adult life. She was a member of the Mill Creek Baptist Church of Fincastle Va, and devoted member of the choir for many years. She was also a member of the senior citizens group of Fincastle Va. Friends will be received at the Talbott Funeral Home 210 Brandenburg St. in Belington from 6 pm to 8 pm on Friday May 21, 2010 and again on Saturday from 8 am to 1 pm when final rites will then be conducted from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Arden Beck officiating. Interment will follow in the Fraternal Cemetery near Belington.
