Obituary: Mr. Howard Walter Louk age 91 years formerly of the New Era Village in Belington, and more recently of Ravenna, Ohio departed this life early Tuesday morning March 23, 2010 in the Robinson Memorial Hospital, Ravenna, Ohio. He had been in declining health for quite some time.

He was born January 12, 1919 at Monterville, WV a son of the late Galford and Florence Snyder Louk.

On October 27, 1941 he was united in marriage to the former Creta Rader who preceded him in death November 13, 2007. They had celebrated over 66 years of marriage.

Mr. Louk is survived by four children Laco Rader and wife Lanora of Ravenna, OH, Demoine Louk and wife Jill of Stow, OH, Lunydol Louk and wife Patricia of Kent, OH, and Laniece Hood and husband Dale of Brunswick, OH. Seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren also survive.

In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by three sisters and five brothers.

Mr. Louk was employed by Polson Rubber for 25 years from which he retired. He was a member of the Faithway Baptist Church near Belington where he served as a deacon and a trustee. Howard served in the US Army having fought in Italy, France and Germany during WWII.

Friends will be received at the Talbott Funeral Home 210 Brandenburg St. in Belington from 6 pm to 9 pm on Friday March 26th 2010. 0n Saturday Mr. Louk will be moved to the Faithway Baptist Church where friends may call from 10am until 11am when final rites will then be conducted with the Rev. Downing Gregory officiating. Interment will follow in the Fraternal Cemetery near Belington where full military rites will be accorded by the American Legion. Uncle Howard was just like all his brothers and sisters they always laugh alot and they have continue with all the family, what a joy and now all of them are in heaven laughing they are all together. Love ya. Lighting a yellow candle for the sunshine you have given us.

Miller Family, We are so sorry for your loss. David and I have known June for over 30 years. He was a kind man. We also bought alot of cars from June years ago. Had alot of good laughs back in the day. My brother Rick was a very good friend to June for over 30 years. I know he well miss him.
