Obituary: Mr. Earl Junior Miller age 77 years a resident of Junior departed this life Monday March 22, 2010 in the St. Francis Hospital at Charleston. He had been in declining health for quite some time.

He was born July 29th 1932 at Jimtown, WV a son of the late Earl R. and Leota Mae Taylor Miller.

On July 22, 1951 in Oakland, MD he was united in marriage to the former Shirley Rae Proudfoot who resides at their home in Junior.

Mr. Miller is survived by four sons Michael Miller of Junior, David Miller and wife Sue of Elkins; Larry Miller of Junior; Gary Miller and wife Nancy of Junior; two daughters Janis Zambelli and husband Frank of Junior; Susan Strawder and husband Steve of Junior. He is also survived by several grandchildren Amelia “Amy” Miller; Melissa Vest and husband Rick; Bradley and Jennifer Miller; Isaac, Jonah and Jordan Miller; Jason, Joshua and Kristen Strawder; Danny Bismark and wife Anita; Bernice Williams and Nancy Lantz. Great-grandchildren surviving are Rickey and Ryan Vest; Luke Miller, Alex Cupp; Amber Bismark, Melanie McDonald, Stephanie Williams and Michael Reed Jr.

He is also survived by three brothers William “ Jerry” Miller and wife Maxine of Jimtown; Howard Miller and wife Rosalee of Coalton; Emmitt “Butch” Harlan; and one sister Joanne Bright and husband Tom of Elkins. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles

Mr. Miller graduated from Colton High School and was an owner and operator of Miller’s Used Car Lot since the early 1970’s. Junior was and avid race car fan, a multicar sponsor at Elkins Raceway and he was a protestant by faith.

Friends will be received at the Talbott Funeral Home 210 Brandenburg St. in Belington from 5 pm to 9 pm on Wednesday March 24, 2010 and again on Thursday from 8 am to 1 pm when he when final rites will then be conducted from the funeral home chapel with the Pastor Doyle N. Ryder officiating. Interment will follow in the Knights of Pythias Cemetery near Junior. The Talbott Funeral Home in Belington is in charge of the arrangements for Mr. Earl Junior Miller. James and Glory Haynes Arbogast June was a good man i have known him since i was about 3 years old i remember going down and playing at his car lot in belington when it was in town.I bought most of my vehicles from him and he always done me good. Selling cars was his passion to the very end. I know my dad learned alot from him he was like a mentor to my father when he was young.He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. May he rest in peace.
