| Obituary: | Mr. Robert William “Bob” Harris, age 78 years a resident of 203 Highland Ave, Belington and more recently of The Good Samaritan Center, Belington departed this life Friday evening, February 26, 2010 following an extended illness. He was born December 25, 1931 near Belington, a son of the late Terry D. and Genevieve Simmons Harris. On October 20, 1956 he was united in marriage to the former Macel Louise Boyles, who survives at Belington. In addition to his wife, Mr. Harris is survived by three children, William Michael Harris and wife Jenny of Springfield OH, Jonathan Luke Harris of Rush KY, and Catherine Lynne Harris and husband Rob of Fairfax VA; four grandchildren, Jeremy Luke Harris and wife Le Ann of Elkins, Nicholas Tyrell Harris and wife Shelly of Ridgeway OH, Jessica Michelle Harris and Jacklyn Marie Harris both of Springfield OH. Also surviving are one great-grandson William Xander Harris of Ridgeway OH and four sisters and five brothers. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister. Mr. Harris graduated from Belington High School in 1950. He served during The Korean Conflict in the US Marine Corps being stationed in Puerto Rico and retired from International Harvester in Springfield OH. At the request of the deceased his remains will be cremated. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to The American Heart Association, 7272 Greenville Ave, Dallas TX 75231 in memory of Mr.Harris.
