Mr. Forrest H. “Bus” Kelley age 93 years a resident of Rt. 92 the Sugar Creek Community near Belington departed this life 1:25 p.m. Friday October 16, 2009. at his residence. He had been in failing health for the past two months.

He was born October 27, 1915 at the Sugar Creek Community near Belington, a son of the late John M. and Zella Dale Bennett Kelley.

On July 24, 1956 he was united in marriage to the former Justine LaMaryland Poe who resides at their home in the Sugar Creek Community.

Mr. Kelley is survived by one son F. Kevin Kelley and wife Sue of Belington, one daughter Pat Paolini and husband Julie of Stowe, Ohio, one step daughter Karen Price of Chesterfield, MO, one sister-in-law Marie Kelley of Philippi, three grandchildren Ryan and Justin Kelley of Belington, Joey Paolini and wife Hope of Canton and one great grandchild Jordon Paolini of Cuyahoga Falls Ohio. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother Harold “Jake” Kelley, two sisters Anna Poling and Genevieve “Ginny” Phillips.

Mr. Kelley graduated from the Belington High School and the Alderson Broadduss College where he had earned a teaching degree .Bus furthered his higher education by earning a masters degree from the West Virginia University. Bus was employed by Barbour County School System and was a well known teacher and principal throughout Barbour County. He attended the Sugar Creek United Methodist Church where he taught the adult Sunday school class for numerous years..

Friends will be received at the Talbott Funeral Home 210 Brandenburg St. in Belington from 4 pm to 9 pm on Monday October 19, 2009 and again on Tuesday from10 am to 11:00 am from the Sugar Creek United Methodist Church. Final rites will be conducted from the church sanctuary at 11am with the Rev. Destry Daniels officiating. Interment will follow in the Fraternal Cemetery near Belington.
