| Obituary: | Talbott Funeral Home 210 Brandenburg St. P.O. Box 879 Belington, WV 26250 (304)823-1401 Michael W. Talbott Licensee in Charge Funeral Home Director and Embalmer Mr. Raymond G. Hill Sr. age 71 years a resident of Rt. 2 Belington departed this life Tuesday morning July 14th at the Belington Clinic. Death was sudden and unexpected. He was born April 28, 1938 in Barbour County WV a son of the late Alfred G. and Chloe E. Wagner Hill. On August 25th 1972 he was united in marriage to the former Dorothy Ann Cross who resides at their home in Belington. Mr. Hill is survived by six children; four sons Raymond G. Hill Jr. of Belington, Junior Shifflett and wife Cindy of Hawaii, Kevin Hill and wife Tammy of Belington, Randy Hill and wife Michelle of Elkins, two daughters Retta Daugherty of Cumberland, Maryland and Kim Lambert of Belington. He is also survived by two Brothers Larry Hill and wife Linda of Belington, Carl Hill and wife Sandy of Belington, thirteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Mr. Hill attended the schools of Barbour County and was employed by Poling Trucking as a truck driver for several years from which he retired. He was protestant by faith, a member of the NRA and the North American Hunting Club. Raymond was an avid hunter, fisherman and farmer. Friends will be received at the Talbott Funeral Home 210 Brandenburg St. in Belington from 2 to 9 pm on Thursday July 16, 2009 and again on Friday from 8:00 am to 11:00 am when final rites will be conducted from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Bryan Headley officiating. Interment will follow in the Valley Bend Cemetery near Belington. The Talbott Funeral Home in Belington is in charge of the arrangements for Mr. Raymond G.
