Obituary: Mr. Paul Richard Flanagan age 75 years a resident of the Kingsville Community departed this life 7:45 pm Wednesday June 17th 2009 in the Ruby Memorial Hospital at Morgantown. He had been in declining health for the past few weeks.

He was born February 12th, 1934 near the Kingsville Community in Randolph Co. a son of late Clarence Lee and Rosie Hamilton Flanagan. On November 20th, 1982 he was united in marriage to the former Linda Lou Wilson who survives at their residence.

Other survivors include one son Michael Eugene Flanagan and wife Regina of Kingsville, WV, daughters include Katherine Faye Warner and husband Wayne of Norton, WV, and Paula Jean Flanagan , of Beverly, WV. Also surviving are Stephanie and Jarrett of Beverly, WV who were special to Mr. Flanagan. Grandchildren surviving are Vincent Paul Gibson, Christopher Scott Gibson, and Michael Paul Flanagan. Siblings surviving include four sisters Lucille Spencer of Junior, Louise Esposito of Belington, Betty Spencer of Buckhannon, and Mae Chapman of Melbourne, Florida. Brothers surviving are Ray Flanagan and Bud Flanagan both of Belington.

Mr. Flanagan was preceded in death by one granddaughter Victoria Della Jean “Vicki” Flanagan, five brothers Earl M. Flanagan, Stanley Flanagan, Amos Flanagan, Roger Flanagan, and June Flanagan and one sister Helen Flanagan.

Mr. Flanagan was a self employed logger and in earlier years was employed in bridge construction. He was a member of the Belington Church of the Nazarene and at the time of his passing he was attending Faith Deliverance Ministries in Belington.

Friends will be received at the Talbott Funeral Home in Belington from 5-9 pm on Sunday June 21, 2009 and on Monday from 8 am -11 am the funeral hour when final rites will be conducted from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. F. L. “Wink” McQuain and Pastor Richard Chambers officiating. Interment will follow in the Flanagan Family Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions be made to The Belington Church of the Nazarene 603 Hoff Street Belington, WV. 26250 or Faith Deliverance Ministries RR3 Box 135 Belington, WV. 26250 in Mr. Flanagan’s memory.
