| Obituary: | Mrs. Mary Charlotte Lantz Corder age 70 years a resident of Coontz Ave. in Belington WV. departed this life 5:29 pm Monday April 20 in the Broaddus Hospital at Philippi. She had been in declining health for quite some time. She was born December 14th 1938 at Philippi, WV a daughter of the late Edward and Hazel Everson Lantz. She was twice married first to Robert Corley and Second to Dale Corder who preceded her in death in 1991. Children surviving include three daughters Nancy Jane Corley of Acworth, GA., Valerie Anita Bennett of Fort Campbell, KY., Jamie Lee Bender of Clarksburg, two sons Robert Eugene Corley of Bath, NY, Vernon Edward Corley of Canton, GA Seven Grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Siblings include three brothers Jack Lantz of Davis, WV, Sherwood Lantz of Philippi, WV, Winfred Lantz of Texas, three sisters Ruby Wilfong of Montrose, WV, Carolyn Sue Lantz of Belington,WV. and Donna Kay Burner of Philippi, WV. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one infant brother and one son Norman Paul Corley. Mrs. Corder attended the schools of Barbour County, was a homemaker and attended The Calvary Baptist Church in Belington, WV Friends will be received at the Talbott Funeral Home 210 Brandenburg St. in Belington from 5-9 pm on Wednesday April 22, 2009 and again on Thursday until 2:00 pm when final rites will then be conducted from the Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jesse Mesa officiating. Interment will follow in the Barbour Memorial Cemetery near Belington. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to the Calvary Southern Baptist Church Rt3. Box 326c Belington, WV 26250 in memory of Mrs. Corder. The Talbott Funeral Home in Belington is in charge of the arrangements for Ms. Mary Charlotte Lantz Corder.
