Patricia Louise Simpson Beattie, of 2 Lane Drive, Belington, WV formerly of Virginia Beach, Va., departed this life Wednesday November 19th, 2008 from injuries resulting from a single vehicle accident.

She was born December 16, 1952 at Welch, West Virginia a daughter of the late William C. and Vera Bennett Simpson.

Ms. Beattie is survived by two sons, Robert Lee Ingram of Virginia Beach, Virginia and George William Beattie of Aberdeen, Maryland and two nephews Matthew J. Reynolds of Louisiana and Cody Patrick Reynolds of Chesapeake Va., . Patty moved to the Belington area from Virginia Beach to be with her cousins Junior and George Proudfoot, Rosa Sikora and Ruby Ware.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband George Andrew Beattie and one sister Kathleen Susan Simpson Reynolds.

She attended Cornerstone Baptist Church in Belington. She had a zest for life and was loved by many people. She will be sadly missed.

A graveside service will be conducted at 1pm on Wednesday November 26th 2008 from the Mt. Vernon Cemetery at Philippi along with a time of sharing and reflecting with the Rev. Dave Shelton officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Vernon cemetery near Philippi. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Animal Friends of Barbour County. The Talbott Funeral Home in Belington is in charge of the arrangements for Ms. Patricia Louise Simpson Beattie. Expressions of sympathy can be made to the family at www.talbottfuneralome.com .
