Talbott Licensee in charge Funeral Director and Embalmer Mrs. Carol Jean Martin Freeman age 56 years a resident of Montrose and more recently a resident of the Barbour County Good Samaritan in Belington departed this life 4:50 pm on Monday, July 21, 2008 at the care facility following a period of declining health. She was born May 7, 1952 at Charleston, WV a daughter of the late Carlos Martin and Ellen Harper Martin who resides in Ravenna, OH. On June 29, 1970 at Oakland, MD, she was united in marriage to Bradford E. Freeman who survives at their home. In addition to her husband and mother, Mrs. Freeman is survived by one son, Kenneth B. Freeman and wife Lynnette of Munroe Falls, OH, one brother Roy Martin of Mantua, OH two sisters Betty Blasiole of FL and Mary Edwards of Ravenna, OH. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. She attended the schools of Ravenna, OH , had been employed at the Barbour County Good Samaritan, and employed by Cardinal Packaging in Streets Boro OH. as a supervisor. She belonged to T.O.P.S. weight control program and was a Methodist by faith. Friends will be received at the Talbott Funeral Home, 210 N. Brandenburg St in Belington on Thursday July 24th from 10am to 3pm the funeral hour when final rites will be conducted from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Destry Daniels and Dennis McCauley officiating. Interment will follow in K of P Cemetery at Junior. The family ask in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Mt. Hospice, Crim Ave, Belington, WV 26250. The Talbott Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Carol Jean Martin Freeman.
