Obituary: Mrs. Mary Ann Ketchem age 64 years a resident of Rt. 2 Belington departed this life 12:30am Sunday May 25th 2008 in the Emergency Dept. of the Davis Memorial Hospital in Elkins. She had been in declining health for quite some time.

She was born June 22nd 1943 at Enterprise, WV a daughter of the late Harry, and Flossie Mae Powers Wilt. In 1961 she was united in marriage to Larry Murl Ketchem who preceded her in death in 1971.

She is survived by four daughters; Kathy Bibey of Beverly, Carla Long of Belington, Bonnie Winn, of Gilbert Pool Ok., and Christine Ketchem of Cambridge, Ohio, two sisters Betty Fortney, of Belington, Susie Stalnaker of Elkins, and one brother Harry Richard Wilt and wife Geraldine of Greenville South Carolina. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, Cori, Kristen, Chad, Randy Michael, Tony, Jared, Jordan, Tyler and Ryan, and four great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters, and one great-grandson.

Mrs. Ketchem attended the schools of Barbour County and earned her GED in 1986.She was a member of the Stringtown United Methodist Church and was known for her employment in several of the Belington area restaurants and also for her tireless work in the Belington Emergency Squad from where she worked last as a paramedic.

Friends will be received at the Talbott Funeral Home 210 Brandenburg in Belington on Tuesday May 27th 2008 from 5-9pm and on Wednesday from 8am - 11am the funeral hour when final rites will be conducted from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Destry Daniels officiating. Interment will follow in the Stringtown Cemetery near Belington. The Talbott Funeral Home in Belington is in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Mary Ann Wilt Ketchem.
