Obituary: Ms. Martha Lou McIntyre age 76 years a resident of 2 Sturm Street in Belington, departed this life 2:15pm Friday, September 7th 2007 at her home.

She was born March 15, 1931 a daughter of the late Homer Glen Bates and Clara Jane Bates. She was twice married, first to John White, Jr. who preceded her in death December 19, 1978 and second to Jack Douglas McIntyre who preceded her in death July 31, 1999.

Ms. McIntyre is survived by four daughters, Connie Seech and husband Jeff of Belington, Linda Bumgardner and husband Ralph of Belington, Carol Smith of Elkins, Sharon Everhart and husband Don of Montrose, three sons, Michael White and wife Beverly of Belington, Douglas McIntyre and wife Presley of St. Albans, and Jeremy McIntyre of Belington and two step children, Jackie McIntyre of Charleston, and Jeanie Findley of Hawaii. Twenty-seven grand children and 28 great grandchildren also survive.

In addition to her parents and husbands she was preceded in death by three sons, David, Homer, and John White and one step son, Billy McIntyre. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family having been preceded in death by one sister and six brothers.

She attended the schools of Harrison County and attended Fairmont State College. She was the owner of the Country Korner Store in Volga and was a homemaker. She was a charter member of the Faithway Baptist Church near Belington.

Friends will be received on Monday September 10th at the Faithway Baptist Church near Belington from 9am to 1pm and funeral services will then follow immediately with the Rev. Downing Gregory officiating. At the request of the deceased her remains will be cremated. The Talbott Funeral Home of Belington is in charge of the arrangements for Ms. Martha Lou McIntyre.
