Funeral Director and Embalmer Mrs. Katherine Charlotte Trustler Harris age 80 years a resident of the Laurel Mt Road Belington departed this life 9:20pm Tuesday July 10th 2007 at her home following an extended illness. She was born July 8, 1927 at Dartmoor, WV a daughter of the late Homer and Mona Himes Trustler. On December 20, 1945 at Dartmoor she was united in marriage to Eugene E. Harris who survives at their home. Mrs. Harris is survived by one son Donald E. Harris and wife Nancy of Belington; two daughters, Charlotte Ann Vanscoy and husband Williard of Fairmont, Mary Katherine Wright and husband Burlin of Parsons; three sisters, Earnestine McDonald of Belington, Joan Cross of Charlestown, WV and Rosalie Rydzewski of Holly Springs, WV. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two half brothers, Arthur and Marshall Trustler and one half-sister Margaret Bennett. Mrs. Harris attended the schools of Barbour County and was a graduate of the Belington High School with the class of 1945, was formerly employed by WT Grant Co. WV., dept of Highways, and Kines Motors from which she retired. She was a homemaker, a member of the Belington VFW Post 410 Ladies Auxiliary and a member of the First Baptist Church of Belington. Friends will be received at the Talbott Funeral Home in Belington from 5 to 9 pm on Thursday July 12th 2007 and on Friday until 1pm the Funeral Hour when services will be conducted from the funeral home parlor with the Rev. F.L. “Wink” McQuain officiating. Interment will follow in the Valley Bend Cemetery near Belington. The Talbott Funeral Home of Belington is in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Katherine Charlotte Trustler Harris. Condolences may be expressed to the family at talbottfuneralhome.com. |
