| Obituary: | Talbott Funeral Home 210 Brandenburg Street-P.O.Box 879 Belington, WV. 26250 304-823-1401 Michael W. Talbott Lic. Funeral Director and Embalmer Mrs. Alma Marie Zinn Coffman age 79 years a resident of Laurel Mountain Rd, Belington departed this life 8:30 am, Thursday, May 17, 2007 at the Davis Memorial Hospital in Elkins. She had been in declining health for the past several months. She was born November 8, 1927 at Clarksburg the daughter of the late Claude E. “Joe” Zinn and Leona Marie Cross Zinn. On July 5, 1946 she was united in marriage to Robert Lewis “Bob” Coffman who preceded her in death earlier this month due to an automobile accident. Mrs. Coffman is survived by two sons, Rod Coffman and wife Melissa Staggs of Worthington, OH, David Lewis Coffman and wife Sheryl of Raleigh-Durham, NC, and three grandsons, Kevin, Stephen and Mitchell Coffman all of Raleigh-Durham, NC and one brother-in-law, Charles Edward Coffman of Clearwater, FL. She was a graduate of Washington Irving High School, was a homemaker and a protestant. Alma was a devoted wife and mother. She kept a beautiful home where all felt welcome. Her cooking and quilting were exceptional. Her love for her family was endless, selfless, and unconditional. Friends will be received from the Talbott Funeral Home 210 Brandenburg Street, Belington on Saturday, May 19th from 10:30 to 11:00 am. Then at 11:00 am from the Funeral Home Chapel a time of sharing and reflecting will be held with the Rev. David Shelton officiating where family and friends will have the opportunity to share memories of Mrs. Coffman . At the request of the deceased Mrs. Coffman’s remains will be cremated. The Family ask that all flowers be omitted. Contributions may be made to the Humane Society in Mrs. Coffman’s memory. The Talbott Funeral Home of Belington is in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Alma Marie Zinn Coffman. Condolences may be expressed to the family at talbottfuneralhome.com. |
