Talbott Licensee in charge Funeral Director and Embalmer Mr. Robert G. “Bob” Hart age 81 years a resident of 24 Side Street in Belington, departed this life at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, May 15, 2007 at the Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. He had been in his usual health until suffering a stroke last week. He was born April 16, 1926 at Tucker County a son of the late Chauncey Ruskin and Clista Bell Nestor Hart. On July, 13, 1950 he was united in marriage to the former Neva Jones who preceded him in death on November 10, 1985. Mr. Hart is survived by three sons, Michael Lynn Hart and wife Cynthia Jean, James “Bo” Hart and wife Kathy, Phil Hart and wife Lisa all of Belington, eight grandchildren, Jeffrey Hart, Stephanie Moss and husband Chuck, Danielle, Heather, and Ben Hart, Derrick Hart and wife Ladonna, Laura Craig and Cody Hart. Also surviving are one sister, Catherine Louise Winfrey, a daughter-in-law Shelly Hart, a granddaughter-in-law, Judy Hart four great grandchildren, Lindsey Moss, Kelsey, Zack, and Brooke Hart, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one son Larry Hart, one grandson, Michael Allen Hart, and three brothers, Howard Everett Hart, Donald Ford Hart, and Billy Lee Hart. Mr. Hart was a 1945 graduate of Belington High School, was employed as a sales clerk, for Kane Keyser Wholesale Hardware formerly of Belington from which he retired in 1982. He was a member of the Belington Masonic Lodge AF&AM #125, a member of the Belington Volunteer Fire Dept, Station 3 where he was a former Assistant Chief and also held various offices. Mr. Hart’s tenure with the Belington Volunteer Fire Department lasted in excess of 60 years. He enjoyed woodworking, and in his younger years enjoyed fishing. Mr. Hart will be remembered from years past as the owner of “Pete“ the bulldog who could be seen setting for hours obediently in front of Belington Fire Department He was member of the First Baptist Church in Belington. Friends will be received at the Talbott Funeral Home in Belington from 5 -9 pm on Thursday, May 17th and on Friday until 11:00 am the funeral hour when final rites will be conducted from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Doyle Neil Rider and Chaplain of the Kanawha County Ambulance Authority, Mike Jerret, officiating. Interment will then follow in the Belington Fraternal Cemetery.
